Remove all these aspects and a home becomes merely a house, four walls and roof that separate you from the surrounding environment. This shared commonality runs deep in every culture, it is a binding force in a family and on a larger scale, wraps itself around national pride. These ideals have been carried throughout humanity, a force as strong as love, but exists in the subconscious. For some, The concept of a home is merely an abstraction. A nice gesture of comfort, but without its experience, we search through imagination. This portrayal is filtered through my perception of home; an intimidating construct that served its role in the physical, but never the emotional. The pursuit of identity, prefaced by the pursuit of belonging.
